Filter #1
Standard filter includes KDF 55 and 5-micron Acid Washed Coconut Shell Carbon, which removes or reduces chlorine, THMs, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, sediment, algae, molds, scale, bad taste, odors and other undesirable contaminants. Countertop model filters up to 8,000 gallons and under-counter lasts up to 10,000 gallons.
NOTE: You can upgrade to a 1-micron absolute carbon filter, which filters out more contaminants, like cysts, bacteria and some pharmaceutical drugs.
Filter #2
Radioactive filter includes an activated carbon, mixed bed cation and anion resin and inorganic based ion exchanger that lasts roughly six months
or up to 1,000 gallons. Removes Strontium, Uranium, Plutonium, Cesium, Iodine and other radioactive contaminants, and iodide to a lesser degree.
Filter #3:
Pick one of the following:
- Arsenic & Other Heavy Metals
- Nitrates
- Fluoride
- Chloramine

Countertop Swivel Spout Style
Swivel Spout models allows taller glasses and pots to be placed under it to catch the water. The water diverter is attached to the end of the sink faucet, and has a button that is engaged to divert the water through the filter and out the water filter spout.
Countertop Double Diverter Model
Double Diverter model has a twin-hose set-up so that water enters the filter from the kitchen faucet, goes through the filter, and then returns to the kitchen faucet where it is released. The water diverter is attached to the end of the sink faucet, and has a button that is engaged to divert the water through the filter and back out the sink faucet. The advantage of the double diverter model is that the filter body can be set back away from the sink. The double diverter model comes standard with a 36" length hose (a 72" length hose is available on request).
Under-counter Style
Under-counter model is maintenance free and installs in about 15 minutes, hooking up to the cold water supply underneath the sink - when you turn on the third faucet it's all CuZn pure! All double and triple under-counter models include a 3rd faucet and saddle valve for easy installation.
CuZn Countertop and Under-Counter Water Filter Specifications

What Is Radioactive Water
Nuclear power plants produce boiled water with which to power huge electricity generators, and a substantial amount of the water thus used is dangerously contaminated since we do not yet have the capacity to completely control radiation. The nuclear crisis in Japan is a good example of the dangers of nuclear power. A week after the partial meltdown of their nuclear plants, high levels of radionuclides were found in the surrounding water sources. In March 2011, Japanese officials announced that "radioactive iodine-131 exceeding safety limits for infants had been detected at 18 water-purification plants in Tokyo and five other prefectures. As of February 2012, the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is still leaking radiation and areas surrounding it could remain uninhabitable for decades due to high radiation.
Radioactives also come from natural deposits in the earth or from agricultural and industrial practices. Non-cancer effects can include thickening and discoloration of the skin, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, numbness in hands and feet, partial paralysis and blindness, the greater the exposure the greater the effects. Radioactivity has been linked to cancer of the bladder, lungs, skin, kidney, nasal passages, liver and prostate.
How Do You Filter Radioactives From Water?
CuZn uses activated carbon, mixed bed cation and anion resin and inorganic based ion exchanger media that lasts roughly six months or up to 1,000 gallons. This combination of medias removes strontium, uranium, plutonium, cesium, iodine and other radioactive contaminants, and iodide to a lesser degree
