New construction and renovation projects may need more clean-up than you think. Formaldehyde released from building materials, ammonia from cleaners, VOCs, and pesticides tracked in from the outdoors can all lead to high levels of indoor pollution that is harmful to your health. Fortunately, Airpura is here to help. Restore the health of your environment and eliminate formaldehyde and other serious airborne fumes with the Airpura F600 and F600DLX and F600 Air Purifiers. These air purifiers are designed to clean the air in large spaces up to 2,000 square feet.
3-Stage Filtration with Deep Carbon Bed
The Airpura F600 and F600 DLX Air Purifiers are commercial-grade air purifiers designed to trap toxic formaldehyde, VOCs, smoke, and other harmful fumes that could lead to serious health effects. Each air purifier features a 3-stage filtration system designed to address both particle and gaseous pollutants. The filtration system includes:
- Pre-Filter — This 570-square-inch x 1-inch-deep filter collects large particles and helps to extend the life of the HEPA and carbon filters. It can be vacuumed clean and should be changed every 12 months.
- Carbon Bed — The Airpura F600 standard model features 18 pounds of highly absorbent, premium-quality activated carbon while the F600 DLX model packs an impressive 26 pounds. This filter collects moderate to heavy chemical pollution stemming from formaldehyde, ammonia, smoke, pesticides, glues, adhesives, and other building and construction materials. The carbon filter typically lasts up to 2 years, depending on usage.
- HEPA Filter — The HEPA filter traps carbon dust and allergen particles, providing a more thorough level of clean. It lasts approximately one year under regular use.
The Airpura F600 Air Purifier's activated carbon bed measures 570 square inches by 3 inches deep. This allows for increased dwell time and more effective chemical and gas absorption. The dwell time is the time it takes for air to pass through the filter. As a general rule, the deeper the carbon filter, the longer the dwell time — and the more chemicals that are removed. Comparative units have carbon beds that measure only 1-inch deep or less, which reduces dwell time and, in turn, cuts filtration effectiveness. The F600's 3-inch-deep carbon bed — combined with its selectable fan speeds and unimpeded airflow — helps you achieve the highest possible level of chemical filtration for your indoor air.
Eco-Friendly Design
Like other Airpura air purifiers, the Airpura F600 and F600 DLX Air Purifiers were created with eco-awareness in mind. Both air cleaners include a host of environmentally friendly construction features that make them less impactful to the earth than off-the-shelf units of lesser quality. Some of these features include:
- PCB-Free Capacitors — All capacitors used in the F600 and F600DLX are free of polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs. These substances are known to be toxic to humans, animals, and the environment.
- Zero Off-Gassing — This Airpura air purifier is free of any plastic, rubber, silicone, adhesives, or bonding agents (other than a small number of materials required to meet UL, ETL, CE, and CSA safety guidelines). The absence of these materials helps to reduce any off-gassing of chemical vapors, both within the clean air stream and in the unit's end-of-life phase.
- All-Metal Housing — With 100% metal housing, the F600 and F600 DLX air cleaners are more ecologically sound products, and they're 93% recyclable. In addition, the metal housing prevents plastic off-gassing, which is common with many conventional units.
Additional Features
- Variable Speed Motor — Choose from two filtration levels.
- Quiet Purification — The F600's backward-curved impeller fan helps eliminate vibrations and noise associated with conventional air purifier motors.
- Zero Air Leakage — A unique pressure seal on the filter chamber ensures that all of the contaminated air passes through the filters.
- Motor Positioned Away From Airflow — Most air purifiers blow clean air over the motor and pick up new impurities even before exhausting it. In the F600 and F600DLX, the motor is situated away from outgoing airflow, so this is not possible.
